Due to the high quality of on-brand work we produce, the Marketing Director has ‘special approval’ to work with an external agency (Freya Helps Me), unlike many of the other brands within the same organisation.
Client X manufactures a niche, yet highly technical product for a variety of industries. They struggle to generate unique and interesting content when their product is very specific and technical and not considered ‘sexy’. The marketing team is limited when it comes to time, and is restricted by what they can publicly post due to the complexity of the company structure, product security clearance and product specifications.
With so many time constraints, generating engaging content (for social media and the website) was tricky for Client X. There simply wasn’t enough time in the day to come up with ideas, let alone write them or get approval.
The website also needed amends and to be updating in various stages – the pages needed restructuring and organisation, SEO needed to be researched and then optimised (including keywords allocated to each web page) and assistance was needed for a variety of ‘mini-one-off-project’ tweaks and improvements.
The client also needed additional help sporadically throughout the year e.g. to help submit end-of-year reports, analytic reporting and planning, but didn’t know where to start, or have the time to complete them.
As time was the biggest hurdle, we set up 2x regular monthly calls:
Because of this, content was consistently generated, approved and posted.
As we could foresee when additional works were needed e.g. end-of-year reporting, we could schedule this and compile the results and present them in a useful manner so the Marketing Director could successfully (and timely) supply them to the CEO.
Additional marketing material (detailed blogs specific to the industry etc) were created and added to the website freeing up the time and headspace of the Marketing Manager.
Monthly catch-up calls were scheduled to confirm the work for that month and agree on the tasks, providing Arana Security Ltd with flexible marketing, exactly how they needed it.
By using Freya Helps Me, the content creation and website management were handled. The social media and blog content ideas were generated and presented, written (with accompanying images generated in Canva) and time was created for the Marketing Director to physically sit down and approve them. We would then schedule the content live, leaving the Marketing Director’s diary free as they didn’t need to complete the works or delegate to their team.
As an action plan was generated each month, we knew what content was needed and steps were taken to produce it. This meant the Marketing Director felt less stress and found themselves with additional time and headspace so they could focus on the overall marketing strategy for their business and grow their teams knowledge.
For the slower month (e.g. summer and winter holidays), we could redistribute the usual content generation time and focus efforts on completing website works and improvements. By allocating specific keywords and meta descriptions (removing the auto-generated ones), the page rankings naturally improved and the website was being seen by the right people.
